ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL SERIES THIS WEEK (June 24th & July 1st): We will continue our series on the practical life lessons that can be gleaned from the kings of Israel and Judah. Solomon's idolatry led to the consequences of God dividing Israel
MINISTRIES FOR OUR BRIGHTEST FUTURE!
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
There is no group of people that brings more excitement, more joy, more energy, more faith, and yes…more work! LOL! Hope Baptist Church is a neighborhood church that strives to cultivate a family atmosphere for families, couples, singles, and especially the CHILDREN to feel welcome and safe in. We have something for our youngest people in every service, and want to do everything we can to love children as the Lord Jesus Christ did in the Scriptures. Here is a summary of the CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES of the HOPE BAPTIST CHURCH:
NURSERY MINISTRY (available every service)
Every single service on Sundays and Wednesdays includes a Nursery Ministry available for the young people through the age of three. From infants to the toddlers, we have a fun, enthusiastic Nursery with all necessary cribs, swings, and play toys. Our faithful servants maintain a clean, secure, and joyful setting for each of our young people.
SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY
(Sundays 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.)
Sunday Mornings begin each week with Sunday School classes for the youth of the Ministry. Our willing servants teach a coordinated lesson each week that is taught consistently throughout the Ministry. We want to encourage families to go home after church and be able to discuss the same lesson that was taught to teenagers all the way down to 3 year olds! Of course, each class is learning more and more as the students get older and more mature. As our ministry grows and changes, our classes adapt and change in groups of students to maximize the Learning Environment. The rest of us Adults head up to Adult Bible Class for teaching as well.
- NURSERY “LITTLE LEAPERS” CLASS (for infants through 3 year olds)
- PRIMARY-JUNIOR “BIBLE EXPLORERS” CLASS (for 4 year olds through 6th graders)
- TEEN GIRLS “DAUGHTERS of the KING” CLASS (7th to 12th grade girls)
- TEEN BOYS CLASS (7th to 12th grade boys)
KING’S KIDS CLUB
(RESUMING Sept. 5th: Wednesday Evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.)
(King’s Kids Club is designed with levels from 1st to 8th graders)
King’s Kids Club is a ministry dedicated to putting Godly principles and the Bible into the hearts of young people. Kids that are in the 1st thru 8th grades are encouraged to come and join the “club” for King Jesus Christ’s Kids! Every Wednesday night the club begins its meeting at 7 p.m. and lasts one hour (from Sept. 7th thru May 31st). And for the parents, we have an Mid-Week Bible Study at the same time!
There are four basic parts to the program.
- Opening Assembly. Includes prayer, reciting pledges, fun Christ-centered songs.
- Devotion/Object Lesson Time. Short teaching time with a Scriptural story or topic taught from the Bible.
- Activity Time. Each young person is placed on one of two teams, Team Halleluiah or Team Praise Ye the Lord. During this time, everyone participates in team building fun activities.
- Achievement Time. Every “clubber” is on an individual pace to learn “Goal Cards” and reach award levels for memorization of Bible verses, and principles.
TEENAGERS YOUTH MINISTRY
(For our 6th – 12th Graders)
Our teenagers are in that very “unique” and critical time of their lives. There is no group of people that is searching and testing everything as much as teenagers. They want to know “Why?” “Why is God…?” “Why are these the rules?” Why is the sky blue?” “Why doesn’t anybody understand?” “Why is the Bible God’s Word?” They are questioning things which is okay! Too often though, we leave them to find the answers – and their sources – from the wrong people or places. We cannot afford to let their Faith fall to chance. Our youth group is designed to challenge our youth to be and become Jesus’ Young person. Hence the group’s name…Are you HIS YOU–th?
We schedule monthly activities at the church, or in the area surrounding us. Most of our activities are free or cost just a few dollars. Each year, we attend area youth rallies, and we travel to the NBBC Youth Conference in Elgin, IL, as well as encourage participation at Teen Camp Weeks at the Cedar River Baptist Camp located in Letts, IA.
Our youth are the future of the Faith. If we treat them like kids alone, they won’t do much. BUT, if we challenge them as the young adults that they are becoming, then we can guide them to be Christ’s Young person!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL.
In the summer time, we hold a Vacation Bible School for the young people in the south Minneapolis area! For three afternoons, we teach Bible stories and verses, play games and activities, make crafts, and enjoy a themed program with drama, singing, and the popular penny offerings! Stay tuned for more information!
